Mini Beauty Haul- spring break 2014

Spring break has got me forgetting about school and has me focusing on the dry patches of my legs and the oily patches of my forehead. At school I rarely have time to or even remember to put lotion or body oil after I shower. AND, forget about washing my face at night! It's an extremely rare occasion when I actually finish my homework and can muster up the strength to head over to the bathroom. Ugh.

Buying new products to try out always get me excited to get back to the sink or shower and take care of my body. My hair and skin is in much need of TLC, so what better time to get down to business than spring break?! I'm holding off on buying cleansers and other things since I have some other products I need to finish before I go off and buy more! Here are the things I've recently picked up.

-Products explained L-R-

1. Yes to Cucumbers Facial Wipes ($8.49) - I've been a fan of simple's kind to skin cleansing wipes for a very long time now, they're basic get everything off your face wipes. But in the beauty world I've been seeing constant love going to these wipes, so i thought i might just give 'em a go! So far so good!

2. Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner ($4.99)- I was on the hunt for shampoo and i stumbled upon this one! I originally thought it was a "value size" of the naked conditioner line but it wasn't! It's what it says it is! On the bottle it says "...let this low lather hair cleansing conditioner go to work, combining the conditioning properties of a nourishing oil while gently cleansing the hair, for touchably soft hair" So in short you only use this product instead of shampoo AND conditioner. I thought this was a pretty neat concept,, or a cool way of telling the consumer it may be a 2 in 1 hair product! But- this may be the answer to keeping shampoo away from my head one more day. I've been trying to be nicer to my hair and this may be the answer!

3. Trader Joe's Organic Virgin Coconut Oil ($4.99)- This coconut oil was so much cheaper than the oil I've found at whole foods! I've been trying to become a coconut oil user but prices had me holding off but i finally did it! I tested it on my hands last night and they feel so incredibly soft! You can only purchase this puppy in-store. There are other sources such as vitacost.com that can deliver right to your doorstep (prices may vary) if you so desire! I can't wait to try all of the things this power product can do!

4. Pure Rosehip Seed Oil ($6.79)- I have combination/oil and acne prone skin. So i have breakouts more often than i should for my age. So, always in search for products that can help me clear my skin, I've heard many good things about this specific oil. Properties that increase cell turnover and diminishing dark spots and acne scars got me hooked. I hope these claims are true! I'm super excited for it to work wonders.

5. Mario Badescu Glycolic Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion ($18.00)- Wow-that is quite the mouthful! I was in search of a toner since my salicylic acid based toner had run out i kinda wanted some change in this part of my skincare routine! This lotion was found under their oily skincare line and claims to deep clean and remove bacteria. So far it feels great and non-stripping on the skin!

6. Herbal Essences Naked Moisture Shampoo($3.99)- No parabens and sulfates...for 3.99? I'll give it go! Hoping this shampoo lives up to all the hype and it's claims!

7. Biotin 1000 mcg's ($2.49)- I used to take biotin everyday about 2 years ago and that's when i had my  longest and healthiest hair. Why did i ever stop taking it? Biotin is supposed to be a super supplement that aids in the healthy maintenance/growth of your hair, skin and and nails! Trying everything i can to get these locks back in shape!

8. L'oreal Infallible the Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($8.99) - Another mouthful (and not skincare related!). I'm a big "cat eye"- or flick if you will- person. Winging out my eyeliner is must for me. The nib on this eyeliner is super tiny (0.4mm) and is nice for getting that clean line. It gives me a more feminine and put together look! I stopped trying with the eye makeup since my glasses did not allow for fanciness like this (not even i could tell how much effort i put into my lashes) but now that i got me a fresh set of contacts i can revive my love with liners!

I'm still in the market for a new body wash, body polish and serum... all of which the body shop seems to have! And of course their sales protect my wallet from having a nervous breakdown! Excited to see what it brings me! See ya soon!
